The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.
I worked with Miriam from 1985 to 1988 in the Laboratory at Kenner Army Community Hospital (at the time), then moved to the Surgery Clinic. Miriam and I also had lots of stories to tell and share. She participated every year in out Halloween "allowed" costume contests. I do have a picture of such and will try to post. She was a wonderful person, friend, and co-worker. She will surely be missed.
