Daniel Peterson

Daniel Wayne Peterson, 62, of Colonial Heights passed away February 12, 2023. He was born in Petersburg on April 8, 1960 to Weldon and Joan Peterson. He was an avid UVA fan and loved watching sports, but above all, he loved spending time with his nieces and nephew. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Weldon H. Peterson Sr.; and brother, Weldon H. Peterson Jr. He is survived by his mother, Joan W. Peterson; sister, Lisa A. Peterson; sister-in-law, Joanna F. Peterson; nephew, Russell H. Peterson; nieces Alison P. Peterson and Katherine L. Peterson; and many special cousins. A memorial gathering will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Meadowbrook Country Club, 3700 Cogbill Road, Richmond, Virginia 23234. The family requests that flowers not be sent to the gathering. Rather, please consider a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org/donate) in Daniel’s name.
