Abraham Sebastian

Abraham (Sonny) Sebastian, 82, of Santurce, Puerto Rico, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of late Edwardo and Juliana Sebastian Walters. He was a 20 year Seaman veteran with the Merchant Marines, retiring from the ship, Export Champion. He is survived by his close friend, Dorothy E. Taylor of Hopewell; two sons, Michael Abraham Sebastian of Aiken, South Carolina and Raphael J. Sebastian and wife, Jeannette of Charlotte, North Carolina; a daughter, Julie Singleton and husband, Joseph of Newport News; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a brother, Alberto Walters of New York, New York. Services will be private. Arrangements by the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road.
