Adelle Shackelford

Flossie Adelle Shackelford, 77, of Prince George, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Kindred Hospital, Richmond. She was the daughter of the late Grover and Ossie Thompson. Mrs. Shackelford is survived by two daughters, Betty S. Murray and husband, William of Dinwiddie, and Wendy Sharpe and husband, Stephen of Prince George; three sons, Joseph G. Shackelford and wife, Lee Ann, Neal Shackelford, and Adam Shackelford and wife, Frances all of Prince George; four sisters, Phyllis Stiltner, Bonnie Johnson, Angelia Koehler, and Sandy Payne all of North Carolina; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road with the Reverend David Prather officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
