Aida Faries

Aida B. Faries 79, of Prince George, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Odell Faries and her mother-in-law Bessie Hatfield Faries. Mrs. Faries was a member of Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church in Prince George as well as the Colonial Heights American Legion Post 284 Ladies Auxiliary and the Hopewell Women of the Moose. She retired after many years of service as the manager of the Fort Lee Beauty Shop. Mrs. Faries is survived by two sons, Gerald O. Faries and his wife Tauna, of Prince George, Jeffrey W. Faries, and wife Trinia R. Faries of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Tyler Faries of Colonial Heights, Haley Faries of Harrisonburg, Elizabeth Michelle Faries of Alexandra, Madison Drew Faries of Colonial Heights, Samantha Fallin of Maryland, Josh Fallin of Idaho, and Jared Fallin of Prince George; and one brother Francisco Barcellano of Manila, Philippines. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church, 6300 Courthouse Rd. Prince George, Virginia 23875, with the Reverend Jason Cashings officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
