Aileen Giles Dundon, 85, died peacefully at home on December 10, 2009. She joins her husband of 65 years, James Dundon, who died on February 12, 2009. Aileen was the essence of a Lady, a devoted mother of five, dedicated Army officer's wife, savvy bridge player, great cook and would dispense everyday wisdom in a moments notice. Even though Alzheimer's slowly crippled her over the years she found great pleasure in eating sweet potatoes, savoring a milk shake and watching reruns of Lawrence Welk. In the end, she will be remembered as a kind, gentle and forgiving person. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on December 14, 2009, at St. Ann Catholic Church 17111 Jeff Davis Highway Colonial Heights, with visitation at 6:00 p.m., mass at 7:00 p.m. and hospitality immediately following, Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery on January 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
