Albert Redd

Albert J. Redd, 56, of Chester, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert B. Redd. Mr. Redd was a member of Monumental Baptist Church, Petersburg, and a retired Optician for Lens Crafters. He is survived by his mother, Jettie Overby Redd of Colonial Heights; aunts, Dorothy Overby of North Carolina, Ellen R. Hall of Colonial Heights, Beulah Averrett of Colonial Heights, and Nellie Beale of Virginia Beach; numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Woodlawn Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. John P. Mason officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends following the service in the Activities Building of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
