Albert Hunter Williams, 84, of Colonial Heights, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at his residence. He was born June 30, 1934 in North Carolina to the late Jesse and Annie Mae Olsen Williams. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Williams; and a grandson, Brandon Jones. He retired after 33 years of service from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 882 in Petersburg, the Colonial Heights Moose Lodge #1783, and the American Legion Post 2 in Petersburg, Virginia. Albert is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dixie Williams; daughter, Tamara Faye Madden and husband, Bobby; son, Cary Williams and wife, Debbi; grandchildren, Wanda Jones and Jason Williams and wife, Erin; and a great-grandson, Braden Williams. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Prince George, Virginia 23805. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Colonial Heights/ Petersburg S.P.C.A., 201Temple Avenue, Suite E, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
