In loving memory of the strongest man we loved. Alex "Geno" Eugene Boyd Jr. was a husband, father, son, brother, Papa, and most of all, a best friend. He shared almost his entire life with his companion and soul mate, Phyllis E. Boyd. They spent every waking moment together and shared each other's precious moments in life. Alex worked his fingers to the bone to provide for his family and through life's struggles he found a place where he knew he would be happy; a home in the country, where he could live the country life with his "Old Lady". His passions were his family, friends, the wonderful world of CB radio and the sweet outdoor life. Despite all of life's obstacles, he lived life to the fullest. He found happiness in living the simple country life with the ones he loved. He is a man that is deeply loved and missed by everyone he surrounded himself with. We will carry him with us in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace. Until we meet again, we will always love you. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis E. Boyd of Stony Creek; children, Angela B. Comer, Janet Boyd, Patricia B. Lowman, and Brenda B. Saunders; grandchildren, Jessica Saunders, Monica Lowman, Hannah Lowman, Natily Boyd, Nadene Boyd, Destiny Comer, and Timothy Comer Jr.; his father, Alex Eugene Boyd Sr.; and two brothers, Michael Boyd Sr. and Thomas Boyd. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
