Alexander “Mr. Al” Felsinger, 96 of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Born in Chicago he was one of 13 brothers and sisters of his parents the late Anna Groh, and the late Peter Felsinger. He was married for 62 years to the late Leona D. Jaggers Felsinger. He is survived by his daughter Sandi L. Woodfin and late husband Ron Woodfin of Conway, South Carolina, a grandson Timothy B. Woodfin of Petersburg, Virginia, great-grandsons Forest and Chase Woodfin of Richmond, Virginia, and extended family in Florida, Wisconsin, and California. Special Friends are his Publix buddies, the Autry Family, Kimberly, Adalynn and Eli Heartwell, Jeff Seevers and next-door neighbors the Peden family. Mr. Al served 20 years in the Army and was a WWII and Vietnam Veteran. He dedicated his life to serving his country and was awarded many certificates and an Army commendation medal for his meritorious service. Mr. Al spent his life spreading joy and putting smiles on the faces of everyone he met. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday April 16, at the Cameron Avenue Church of Christ 601 Cameron Avenue Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Dr. Daniel Roberts officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery Arlington, Virginia.
