Alice Frederick

Alice Mae (Gaga) Frederick, 80, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Guy Carlton and Irene Doss Laine and the widow of Linwood W. Frederick; she was also preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Laine. Mrs. Frederick was a member of the former Third Presbyterian Church in Petersburg. She is survived by a daughter, Linda F. McKenney of Newport News; son, David W. Frederick of Colonial Heights; three grandchildren, Tracy M. Cherrix and husband, Dwight of Prince George, Jeffrey C. McKenney and wife, Melissa of Chesterfield, and Christian Frederick of Colonial Heights; five great-grandchildren, Austin Cherrix, Dylan, Corbin, Kinsley and Gavin McKenney; one brother, Guy "Bubber" Laine and wife, Mildred of Colonial Heights; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other close friends. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Louis Williams officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
