Alice Faye Hamilton

Alice Faye Hamilton, 83, of Matoaca passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2023. Born March 5, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Valvin Gresham and Alice Rudy Driskill, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Cameron Hamilton; brother, Billy Driskill; and sister-in-law, Gayle Driskill.

Alice was a longtime member of Matoaca UMC. She retired from the State of Virginia as a secretary after 50 years of dedicated service. Her selfless devotion created a nurturing home, and her gentle guidance shaped the character of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Cam. B. Driskill (Amy); daughter, Toni Hamilton (Lee Narron); grandchildren, Kayla Driskill Walker (Austin), Chance Hamilton Driskill, Madison Womack; great-grandchildren, Camryn Grace Walker; nephews, Scott Driskill (Sherry), Troy Driskill (Tonya), Ricky Driskill; nieces, Kim Peters (Jeff), Tracy Driskill; and other extended family members.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023 in Matoaca United Methodist Church, 6301 River Rd, South Chesterfield, VA 23803. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
