Alice Scott

Alice Nobles Scott, 85, of Ettrick, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Wesley and Louise Hamlin Nobles, and the widow of George B. Scott. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her first husband, James N. Vaughan; two sons, Glenwood Scott and Garland Scott; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Vaughan; and a step-son, George R. Scott. She is survived by her children, James Vaughan, Diana Chippewa and husband, Chip, Wesley Scott Sr. and his former wife, Wanda, David Scott and wife, Brenda, Terri Wells and husband, Ronnie; a step-daughter, Wilma Lee; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; close friends, Jamie Woodley and husband, Bob and Tina Minor. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with Bishop Avery Taylor officiating. Her remains rest at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard between the hours of 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2013.
