Alicia Scudder

Alicia Ellen Scudder, 58, of Petersburg, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at UNC Chapel Hill Medical Center. Born in New Jersey on October 25, 1954. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, and was the former Children's Minister at May Memorial Baptist Church in Powhatan. Mrs. Scudder graduated from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina, and received her Master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Allan Scudder of Petersburg; her children, Benjamin Allan Scudder and wife, Jennifer of Texas, Kent Anderson Scudder of Petersburg, and Ellen Rose Scudder of Petersburg; a grandson on the way, Jackson; her parents, George and Ellen Larkin of North Carolina; and a brother, Keith Larkin and wife, Sue of South Carolina. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 in Immanuel Baptist Church, 620 Lafayette Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Fred Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements by the Petersburg Chapel of the E.
