Allan Story Sr.

Allan Charles Story Sr., 82, of Disputanta, Virginia, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. Born on February 4, 1940, he was the son of the late Kenneth Albert and Florence Badger Story. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth W. Story and his sister, Alice M. Brache.  Allan was a faithful member of Newville Baptist Church, 7710 Beef Steak Road Waverly, Virginia 23890. He was a United States Navy Veteran, and later retired as the proprietor of A.C. Story Plumbing in Colonial Heights. He was also a Past Commander of American Legion Post #284 in Colonial Heights, a member of forty and eight, and a member of American Legion Post #2 in Petersburg. He is survived by his loving wife, B. Floraine “Flo” Story; children, Madora Sheffield (William), Allan Story Jr. (Crystal Wolford), Natalina Harris (Lewis), Kimberly Gregory (Donald), and Theresa Story (Harry Andrews Jr.), and Aaron Story (Pamela Browning); 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road Petersburg, Virginia 23805, with the Rev. Michael Fields officiating.  Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road S. Prince George, Virginia 23805. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the funeral home. Following services, the family will receive friends and family at American Legion Post 2, 820 Winfield Road, Petersburg, VA 23803.
