Allen Jones Sr.

Allen Gordon Jones Sr., 72, of Dinwiddie, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was the son of the late William H. and Ellen Wells Jones, and was preceded in death by a brother, William Henry Jones Jr. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Dale Bear of Chesterfield; a son, Allen Gordon Jones Jr. and wife, Toni E. of Dewitt; his fiancée, Elizabeth R. Huddleston of Dinwiddie; the mother of his children, Bettie S. Jones of Dewitt; grandchildren, Mckala A. Bear, Jon B. Bear III and fiancée, Destiny N. Valente, Shay C. Tench and husband, Robert, Kurt T. Jones and Cody R. Jones; great-grandchildren, Alexis M. Bear and Emma G. Tench; a brother, Charles Jones and wife, Doris of Dinwiddie; two sisters, Helen J. Matthews of Chesterfield, and Jeanette J. Aldridge and husband, Michael of Dinwiddie. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
