Alma Mae Elko, 80, of Chesterfield, died on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at her residence. A native of Chesterfield, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ruby Mae Joyner Jarratt. Mrs. Elko was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Colonial Heights. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Edward Elko, Sr. and her grandson, Patrick Wayne Elko. She is survived by two sons, Frank E. and wife Silva B. Elko, David W. and wife, Lisa K. Elko all of Chesterfield.; a daughter, Mary E. Miller of Harrisonburg, Va. Five grandchildren; Jeffrey K. and Eric E. Miller, Heather G. Courtright, Amanda M. Elko and Amy L. Sims. Two great-grandchildren, Brock Elko Miller and Jenna Madison Courtright. One brother, Leroy Jarratt and a sister, Frances Layne. Numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday 7:00 P.M. October 25, 2011 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights with Father Lou Ruoff as celebrant. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at church from 5:30 P.M. until time of Mass. Burial will be Wednesday October 26, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, with the funeral procession leaving St. Ann Catholic Church at 9:30AM to the cemetery.
