Alyce Spillane

Alyce Mae Spillane, 68, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Duffy L. and Ruby Eugenia Shaw Campbell, and the widow of Fredrick J. Spillane. Mrs. Spillane is survived by a daughter, Sharon D. Bierman of Colonial Heights; two sons, James A. Bierman of Richmond, and William J. Spillane of Colonial Heights; two sisters, Patricia H. Hargrave of Littleton, North Carolina, and Iris Faye O'Neill of Creedmore, North Carolina; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her best friend, Joni Parham of Chester. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Reverend David Prather officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
