Amanda Boykin Emerson, 37, of Chesterfield entered Heaven already with a pair of wings to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 28, 2017. She was born on January 13, 1980 in Richmond, Virginia, and was preceded in death by her father, Billy C. Boykin. Amanda served her community as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 10 years, something that made her feel proud. She is survived by her devoted husband of 19 years, James B. Emerson; two sons, Dillon and Owen Emerson; loving mother and father, Gwen Francis and James A. Vincent; mother-in-law, Sherrye Emerson; sister-in-law, Megan Emerson; two nephews; a niece; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Church of the Sacred Heart, 9300 Community Lane, Petersburg, Virginia 23805, with Father Chris Hess officiating. Interment will follow in East Matoaca Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, April 30, 2017, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
