Amelia Mcdonald

Amelia Brame McDonald, 88, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Amelia Essig Brame, and the widow of Stanley L. McDonald. Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her son, Buddy Wray. She is survived by four daughters, Cathie Lucy Abernathy and husband, Walton of Gasburg, Connie H. Myers and husband, Dennis of Petersburg, Bobbie Wray Rhodes and husband, Kenneth of Colonial Heights, and Dottie W. Harvanek and husband, Steve of Colonial Heights; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; caregiver and granddaughter, Anna Beck. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Deborah Fair officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (tonight) at the funeral home.
