Amy Smith

Amy Miriam Foster Smith 96, of Colonial Heights passed away Friday November 18, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Capas W. and Amy Ludwig Foster, and the widow of J. Edlar Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by; two daughters, Vivian Delight of California, and Elaine Myers of Colonial Heights; a son, David E. Smith of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, one sister Ruby Foster Whitley of Prince George, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday November 22, 2011, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3701 Conduit Rd., Colonial Heights, VA 23834, with Reverend Deborah Fair officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10-11:00 a.m. one hour prior to the service at church. If desired, contributions may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church. The Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard are handling funeral arrangements.
