Angela Parker Madren

Angela Parker Madren, 56, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023, surrounded by her family. Angela was born on July 21, 1966, to Roger and Lou Ella Parker in Kinston, NC. After Angela graduated from Colonial Heights High School in 1984, she went on to work in the mortgage business for over 30 years. She loved her job and always worked so hard. In 1993, Angela met Mark and they were married in June of 2000. They went on to have two children, Hannah and Andrew. Angela was the most amazing and supportive wife to her husband for more than 30 years. She was also such a devoted and loving mother to her children. Never once did she miss any of their events; she always showed up as a wife and a mother. She enjoyed numerous trips to the beach with her family and friends as she loved being near the ocean. Angela was the epitome of strength, courage, and integrity. She battled cancer for 10 years and finally won. Angela was and will always be an inspiration to so many. She will be remembered as a warrior, a friend, a lover, a spitfire, and so much more. Angela was beautiful inside and out. She cared deeply for those who were close to her and would do anything for them. She adored her two dogs Saige and Autumn, who were her other babies. Angela loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and is now with Him. Angela is survived by her loving husband, Mark; children, Hannah and Andrew; parents, Lou Ella and Roger Parker; sister, Amanda (Larry) Gray; brother, Eric Parker; as well as beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Steve Freeman officiating.
