Anita Harrell Bourlier, 65, of Prince George, departed her Earthly life and went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2014. She was born September 12, 1948 to the late James Andrew Harrell and Gladys Mae Fitts Harrell, of DeWitt, Virginia. She was retired from Civil Service at Fort Lee. She was a proud member of First Christian Church of Petersburg, Virginia. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo with the girls, and helping others in any way she could. She is survived by her loving Husband of 38 years, Tommy D. Bourlier; her son, Jonathan P. Bourlier, and wife, Amber, of DeWitt, Virginia; her step-son, Brendon Bourlier, and wife, Jennifer, of Nashua, New Hampshire; her step-daughter, Bona Carol Bourlier, of Gaithersburg, Maryland; her brother, E. Wayne Harrell, and his wife, Marie, of Unionville, Virginia; three grandsons, Kolbee Andrew, Oaklee Dale, and Finlee Paul Bourlier; two step-grandchildren, Catherine and Nicholas Bourlier; two nieces, Shannon Bousselaire and Wendi Hughes; a host of cousins; and many wonderful friends that she considered family. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at First Christian Church, 301 E. South Boulevard, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. The family requests, as they believe Anita would wish, that donations be made to the Anita Bourlier Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo - 3360 S. Crater Rd., Petersburg, Virginia - in lieu of flowers.
