Ann Carper

Ann Buckman Carper, 79, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday April 29, 2011. Born in Alexandria, she was the daughter of the late Elliott M. and Frances Finks Buckman, and the widow of Koss Andrews Carper Jr. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Sean Sours. Mrs. Carper is a member of the Colonial Heights American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Jean Carper Bailes and husband, Jim of Alexandria; a son, Keith A. Carper and wife, Dee of Colonial Heights, three grandchildren, James C. Bailes, Shannon Thomas, and Stephanie Gormas and husband Bill; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Connor Gormas. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday May 2, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend John Weatherly officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
