Ann Mcgee

Ann Marie McGee, 54, of Prince George, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011. God called another angel to come and watch over us. A great daughter, mother, sister, and friend. Rest in peace, until we meet again. Ann was preceded in death by her father, William Earl Turner, and a brother, Dave Sirles. She leaves to cherish, her mother, Shirley Fried and husband, Frank Fried ( the best step-father anyone could ever have); a son, Rusty Overby (Jaclyn Campbell); a daughter, Samantha Jeter (Victor Starr); a sister, Kay Simmons; brother-in-law, Wayne Simmons; step-brother, Johnny Fried & Robin; four beautiful granddaughters, Alyssa, Regan, Katie, and Mya; Aunt Linda & Uncle Parker Phillips; and former spouse, James H. McGee Jr.; special friends, Larry Hudson, Dale Louttit, and other numerous cousins & relatives. The pride and joy of her life for the past five years, her beloved pet, "Lillie." In her heart she held a special place for her doctor of 35 years, Jay S Goldberg M.D. We would like to thank him for everything he has done over the years, not only as a doctor, but also as a good friend, who helped Ann more than he will ever know in some of the most difficult times in her life. We would also like to thank Lori, Dr Goldberg's office manager, for all the help and kindness in Ann's time of need. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road.
