Ann Sovocool

Ann Corbett Sovocool, 74 of Colonial Heights, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022. She was born in Regensburg, Germany on October 29th, 1947. Ann was a member of Highland United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights She worked as a cashier at Lakeview Elementary, Tussing Elementary, and CHMS. She was always known as the lunch lady when she saw students out in public. She left behind her husband Jeremiah P. Sovocool; loving daughter Melody Sovocool; granddaughter Emilie Sovocool and her significant other Justin James; her closest surviving cousin is Henry Horwitz and his wife Laura; and numerous other cousins and family members. She was preceeded in death by her father and mother Stanley and Tillie Corbett. Ann was an avid cat lover and loved her favorite chihuahua Scooter. Anytime she was sitting down, there would always be a cat near her or in her lap. Her friends have spoken very highly of her and have talked about how sweet of a person she was. Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by her family and friends.  A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Highland United Methodist Church, 125 E Westover Ave, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
