Ann Young

Ann Marie P. Young, 90, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at her residence. Born in Person County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Eda Lou Eakes Peed. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Emil S. Young and Nuel Carlyle Young. She is survived by two sons, Barry Young of Colonial Heights and Jerome Young and wife, Christine of Wyoming; seven grandchildren, Jason Young, John Young, Betsy Christiansen, Jake Young, Charles Young, Robert Young, and Adam Young; and a sister, Alice Coats of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Steve Felker officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
