Anna M. Keeney, 68, of South Chesterfield passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016. Born on June 28, 1948, she was the daughter of Edgar O. Urban, Sr. and Alice Walls Bomurski. She is preceded in death by her father; step-father, Benjamin Bomurski; and brother, Dale Urban. Anna was an active member of Western Heights Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, helped with Vacation Bible School, and was very much involved in the Women's Ministry. She loved reading and writing, and was an avid cyclist, having cycled across the Golden Gate Bridge on a bicycle trip from the San Francisco area to New Mexico. Anna enjoyed mission work and traveled twice to Africa. Mrs. Keeney volunteered at the Women's Museum at Fort Lee and was an Officer of Election in Chesterfield County. Her most pleasurable moments in life were those spent with her loving family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Joseph Keeney, Jr.; daughters, Alice K. Wells and husband, Michael of Chesterfield and Debra Allen and husband, Mark of Prattville, Alabama; mother, Alice Bomurski of Midlothian; granddaughter, Julia Wells; brother, Edgar Oliver Urban, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
