Annabel M. Smith, 88, of Prince George, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Born on April 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Alta Marsh Scott; and was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Francis G. "Smitty" Smith; a brother, Ernest Scott and a sister, Alice Scott. Mrs. Smith was a member of Blandford United Methodist Church and loved bowling. Mrs. Smith was a retired Legal Secretary, and a proud Army wife. She was a devoted Mother to four daughters, Dolly Emory (Roger), Barbara O'Connell, Sharon Driskill (Phillip), and Ginny Smith; loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, Chris Emory, Traci Emory, Melissa Smith, Rory O'Connell, Gaven O'Connell, Bo Driskill (Dawn), and Mandy Hendershott (Zak); six great-grandchildren, Olivia Sterling, Nya and Bryce Driskill, Colby and Landon Hendershott and Colton Walton; also three sisters, Isabelle Powell, Carabelle Morris (Bud), and Flora Jane Tyndall; a host of nieces and nephews; wonderful longtime friends, neighbors and caregivers. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 with Pastors Debbie and Michael Baugham officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Blandford United Methodist Church, 11607 S. Crater Road, S.
