Annie Edwards

Annie C. Edwards, 79, of Matoaca, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Moss R. and Bernice Hudgins Chambers, and the widow of Charles Frank Edwards. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Franklin Edwards; sisters, Ruby Chambers Williams and Sue Chambers Lewis; brothers, Tom and Robert Chambers. Mrs. Edwards retired from Titmus Optical with over forty years of service, and was a dedicated member of the Dinwiddie Moose lodge. Annie loved life to the fullest and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Mrs. Edwards is survived by a daughter, Diana Denson of Chesterfield; three sisters, Ellen Chambers of Sutherland, Helen Ozmore of Sutherland, and Dorothy Chambers Lewis of Ford; sister-in-law, Marilyn Chambers; nieces and nephews; and two special friends, John Denson, and Nancy Calder. The family would like to thank Dr. Loknath Shandilya for taking such wonderful care of Annie. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with Mr. John Nobles officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening (tonight) at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
