Annie Hill

Annie D. Hill, 85, of Sutherland, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Born October 5, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James E. Deadmon Sr. and Sarah Meadows Deadmon. She was the widow of Raymond P. Hill, and was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Hill was a very active member of Ocran United Methodist Church in Sutherland. She is survived by her children, Bonnie H. Heller of Midlothian, Raymond Barry Hill and fiancée, Sherry of Dinwiddie, and Jo Carol Mayton of Chesterfield; beloved and devoted companion, Glenn H. Henshaw of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Anna H. Clark (Matt), Joseph Nelson Mayton, and Elizabeth Anne Hill; great-grandchild, Zoe Hill; sister-in-law, Carol S. Deadmon; and numerous nieces & nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Ocran United Methodist Church, 20221 Cox Road, Sutherland, Virginia 23885 with the Reverend Larry House officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
