Archie Lee Coleman, 80, of Prince George passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012. He was born in Pamplico, South Carolina and came to this area in 1951 when in the U. S. Army stationed at Fort Lee. He was a graduate of the Carolina College of Commerce with a degree in accounting and was retired from Allied Signal after 34 years of service where he worked in Marketing and Sales, Industrial Engineering, and Maintenance. While his health allowed, he enjoyed golfing and traveling to interesting places. He treasured his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary; his sons, Dale Allan Coleman and his wife, Kathleen of Oregon, and Terry Leon Coleman and his wife, Michelle of Prince George; grandchildren, Dustin (Mary Beth), Rachel, Jack, Allison, Abigail, Wesley, Amy, and Kristina; and three great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Roslynn, and Ashwin; brothers, Howard, Donald, Glenn, and Wayne; sisters, Betty and Nina all of South Carolina; and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Athleen Coleman; a son, Michael; two brothers and three sisters, Lewis, Ted, Joan, Patricia, and Geneva. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Prince George Christian Church, 7605 Prince George Drive, Prince George, Virginia 23875, with visitation/reception to follow. The family wishes to thank Crater Community Hospice and the Prince George Emergency crew for their faithful support.
