Arthur Nelson

Arthur F. Nelson (Lt. Col., Ret.), 76, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010. He was the son of the late, William and Mildred Jones Nelson, and was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ann Nelson, and a son, William Mark Nelson. Mr. Nelson was retired from the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Army Quartermaster Foundation. He is survived by a daughter, Robyn L. Meredith and husband, George of Maryland; a son, Kyle A. Nelson and wife, Donna of Prince George; grandchildren, Andrew Meredith, Steven Meredith, Elizabeth Nelson, Aaron Nelson, and Bradley Mead; his beloved Sheltie, Lad. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with Chaplain (Col., Ret.) James E. Walker officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Army Quartermaster Foundation, USA Quartermaster Center, 1201 22nd Street, Fort Lee, Virginia 23801-1601.
