Aubrey Beazley Jr.

Aubrey Lawrence Beazley, Jr., 71, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on January 13, 2016 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Petersburg, VA he was the son of the late, Aubrey Lawrence Beazley Sr. and Hazel Pittman Beazley; and was also preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Jessie and Ruby Lowery. Mr. Beazley was retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco and also from Nabisco. He had been a youth league baseball coach in Colonial Heights and was an avid golfer. Mr. Beazley is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Alvis Beazley; two sons, John Beazley and wife, Maxine and James Beazley and wife, Shaun Fera; three grandchildren, Margaret, Walter and Skylar Beazley; his beloved kitty cat, K.C.; and numerous friends, colleagues and neighbors. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, with the Rev. Robert Livesay, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Beazley.
