Aubrey Lee Puckett, 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Mr. Puckett was born in Chesterfield, Virginia and was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen Sadler Puckett. Mr. Puckett is survived by one son, John (Tammy) of Ford, Virginia; two daughters, Ora P. Graves (Jack, Sr.) of Hinesville, Georgia and Mary P. McGrath; four grandsons, Lucas (Taylor), Toby, Jack Jr. (Liona), and Andrew; one granddaughter, Brittany McGrath; two great grandsons Eli Puckett and Jack James Thor Graves; two great granddaughters, Anna Graves and Gwen Bugg; and three sisters-in-law. Mr. Puckett retired from the Fort Lee Post Exchange in February of 1993. He also served on the Colonial Heights Auxiliary Police for many years. Mr. Puckett was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. He was an avid lover of hunting and fishing for many years, especially when it was with his son and grandsons. He was a good cook and a great storyteller. A very special thank you to the caregivers and angels that helped care for Mr. Puckett.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2021 in Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803.
