Aubrey Wood

Aubrey Hugh Wood, 73, of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. He was the son of the late Aubrey Lewis and Anna Berry Wood. Mr. Wood retired after 25 years of service as a Captain with the Petersburg Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jean Wood; two daughters, Patricia Dawn Shepherd and husband, Wayne of Glen Allen, Lynne Wood Vaughan and husband, Ray of Hanover; grandchildren, Brendan and Lauren Shepherd, Madison and Morgan Vaughan. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 3-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
