Barbara Barger Perkins

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Barger Perkins of Colonial Heights, Va, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 92. Barbara was born and grew up at Natural Bridge, Va and graduated from Natural Bridge High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Perkins, in 1949. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward McClelland Barger and Julia Morris Barger; her sister, Wanda Barger Lotts; brother, Edward McClelland Barger Jr.; and her husband, Joseph Logan Perkins.  

She is survived by her son, Joseph Edward Steven Perkins of Tampa, Fl.; daughters, Susan Perkins Moneymaker, Donna Leigh Perkins, Julie Logan Perkins Henderson of Colonial Heights, Va, and Jolie Perkins Kump of Chesterfield, Va.; her grandchildren, Stacey Moneymaker, Shawn Moneymaker, Scotty Moneymaker, Camille Kump-Michalek, Claire McCray, Crystal Kump, Adam Trace Henderson, DeMarion Perkins, and Anne Perkins. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, one niece, and one nephew. 

A memorial service will be held at High Bridge Presbyterian Church in Natural Bridge, VA at a later date. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes.
