Barbara Harris

The Lord called Barbara Anne Harris, 59, of Hopewell home on December 28, 2012. She was born on June 29, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Mary Echols. Barbara worked as a teacher's aide for Woodlawn Learning Center in Hopewell, VA. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Grogan and husband, Bobby; sons, Jamie and E.C. Harris; very special sister, Jeri Doss and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Willie Z, CoCo, Bee Bee, Justin, Jacob, Shelly, Sky, B.J., and Joey; nephews, Allen, Nicky, Uncie, Tucker, and Devin; and niece, Laiana. Barbara was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. Funeral services will be private.
