Barbara Kellam

Barbara B. Kellam 90, of Colonial Heights, passed away Tuesday September 29, 2015. She was born July 21, 1925 to the late Joseph C. Barron and Ruth Skinner Barron. Mrs. Kellam was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years John L. Kellam Jr., two brothers; Joe and Paul Barron, and one sister; Connie La Bossier. She was a member of Highland United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. Mrs. Kellam had a love for crafts, she also loved to cook and share with her family, friends and her neighbors. Mrs. Kellam is survived by two sons; Ronald L. Kellam and close friend Linda, Michael W. Kellam and close friend Lori, daughters, Jo Anne Snyder and husband Fred J., and Mary E. Priode and husband Joey; seven grandchildren Jeff Kellam, Audra Elder, Joshua, Trevor, Zack, and Sara Snyder, Jaime Kellam, two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jordan, one great great-grandchild; Steven, sister Frances Cole and husband Jerry, brother in-law; Tommy Kellam and wife Pat, whom she loved dearly. The family would like to thank Crater Community Hospice for their great care that Mrs. Kellam received and especially her nurse Edie and aide Grace. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2015 in the Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with the Reverend William Rawlings officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
