Barbara Platz

Barbara Ann Dishman Platz, 62, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Virginia Payne Dishman, and was preceded in death by a son, Gary Platz Jr. and a brother, Gary Dishman. Mrs. Platz is survived by her husband, Gary Platz Sr.; three brothers, Robert Dishman of Thornburg, Wade Dishman of Chester, and Douglas Dishman of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Gloria Navarro of Texas, and Jacqueline Shook of Fredericksburg. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Deacon James Navarro officiating, with visitation to follow. Interment private.
