Barbara Rubin

Barbara A. Rubin, 84, of Chester passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at her residence. Born on September 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lydie Rush, and was also preceded in death by her brother, James Edward Byrd. Barbara retired from the Department of Corrections in Florida after many years of service. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Rubin; sons, Richard Pittard and wife, Connie, Jon Rubin and wife, Cindy; daughter, Kerri Oliveira; grandchildren, Dylan Rubin, Christopher Gilliland, Corey Gilliland, Nathan Pittard; great-grandchildren, Danica Gilliland, Charli Gilliland; and niece, Dana Joseph. A celebration of life will be held at from 3 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Maria's Restaurant, 21 Old Street, Petersburg, VA 23803.
