Barbara Voelker

Barbara Ann Miles Voelker graciously surrendered to the Lord's will on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the age of 76. Barbara was a long time member of Wood's United Methodist Church. She was an avid "mall-walker" and member of Curves (Colonial Heights). She was the devoted wife of Harry L. (Pete) Voelker Jr. for 58 wonderful years. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Susan Rayner (Billy) and Nancy Reynolds (Chuck); grandchildren, Kimberly Price (Jarrett), Elizabeth Anderson (Doug), Ian Rayner, Chas Reynolds, and Jane Moody (Adam); great-grandchildren, Jayme Ramsey, Trislynn Price, Lianna Rayner, Jenni Anderson, Caleb and Abigail Moody; and her sister/cousin, Patty Huntley (Preston). The family gratefully acknowledges the extreme care and compassion Barbara received from the staff in Southside Regional ICU 1&2 and 5W. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Wood's United Methodist Church, 7200 Hickory Road, S. Chesterfield, Virginia 23803 with the Reverend Joseph T. Carson III and the Reverend David Morefield officiating. Interment will follow in the Wood's United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
