Barbara Hendrix Wall, 81, of Hopewell, passed away on February 11, 2014 in the Colonial Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center after a period of declining health. Born May 4, 1932 in Waynesboro, North Carolina to the late Clarence L. and Beulah Morrison Hendrix, she had resided in Hopewell for most of her life. Barbara was predeceased by four brothers, Harry, Lloyd, Calvin, and Herbert Hendrix; and three sisters, Ruth Hendrix, Clara Hudson, and Selma Hudson. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Hopewell. She was the widow of Ralph J. Wall, and is survived by one devoted son, Randy K. Wall and wife, Kathy; and one loving granddaughter, Tara E. Wall, all of Hopewell. She is also survived by two step-granddaughters, Jessica Raymond of Williamsburg and Liz Montgomery of Patrick County; as well as one very special sister-in-law, Helen Molter of Chester. In addition, Barbara is survived by six nephews, Ray, Manuel and Eric Hendrix, Garland Hudson, W.E. (Billy) Hudson III, and Steven Hudson; and eight very special nieces, Donna Devier, Janus Horner, Pat Hudson, Lynn Debutts, Linda Stokes Diana Tidwell, Peggy Medford, and Sandra Ferguson. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Private interment.
