Barbara "Bobbie" Wray Wells

Barbara Wray Wells, affectionately known as Bobbie, 75, of Disputanta, formerly of Havelock, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Born August 8, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Doris Warnell and William Edward Wray Sr. and was also preceded in death by her brother, Billy Wray and beloved four-legged companion, Fergus.

After years of raising her family and working various jobs, Bobbie dedicated herself to the business she owned and operated, Home Finishing Touches, where she made homes more beautiful with her keen eye for design and attention to detail.

Bobbie had an adventurous spirit, always seeking excitement and joy in life. She shared countless joyful moments with her sister, especially during their thrilling outings to the casino. Bobbie's love for the slot machines was vivacious, and the memories created during those trips will forever be cherished.

An outgoing and sociable individual, Bobbie had a talent for making friends wherever she went. Her love for travel took her to various corners of the country, where she embraced new experiences with an open heart.

In her younger years, Bobbie was an avid bowler and enjoyed showcasing her athleticism and competitive spirit.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Rhoades (Mark Demoranville); son, Rick Wells (Amy); grandchildren, Lance Weddle (Brenna), Connor Coleman, Ella Wells, Reese Rhoades, Parker Wells; beloved sister, Betty Wray and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Interment will be private. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
