Barbara J. Willett, 84, of Colonial Heights passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at her residence. Born on August 5, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Floyd E. and Juanita K. Smith, and was also preceded in death by her husband, David M. Willett. Barbara served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Colonial Heights American Legion Post #284 and was the past President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing crafts and would hand them out to just about anyone that crossed her path in life. Mrs. Willett was also a Professional Clown, who went by the name of Puffalot when performing her act. She is survived by her children, Patricia Allen and late husband, Walter, Mark Willett and wife, Yvonne, Carol Ellis and husband, George, Dale Willett and wife, Betty, Dean Willett and wife, Sonja, Jan Waldrop and husband, Dale; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Smith and wife, Kathy; sister, Vonnell Mantarro; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Bill Laun officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, February 10, 2016 at the funeral home.
