Barbara Sarofeen Wilson, 62, of Colonial Heights, a native of Quincy, Massachusetts, went to be with her Lord Sunday, February 19, 2012. She was the daughter of the late George M.J. and Evelyn Roeder Sarofeen. She was a graduate of James Madison University and earned her Masters in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mrs. Wilson was retired from Fort Lee after 33 years of service, where she held multiple leadership positions, which earned her many awards and accolades. She is survived by her husband, Ernest M. Wilson Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Brian Todd Wilson and Julie Neal of Chesterfield; grandson, Jonah Michael Wilson of Chesterfield; one sister, Janice L. Sarofeen of Chesterfield; two brothers, Robert A. Sarofeen of Alexandria, George F. Sarofeen of Cincinnati, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many loving friends. A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with Father Lou Ruoff officiating. Interment to be held in Plympton, Massachusetts. The family will have a reception at church following the service.
