Barbara Yates

Barbara King Yates, 41, of Blackstone, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009. Barbara was an Office Manager for Dr. Roy Whitehouse in Blackstone. She is survived by her husband, Dallas Yates; her daughters, Amanda K. Yates of Colonial Heights, and Lindsey F. Yates of Blackstone; her mother, Patricia L. King of Colonial Heights; her father, Peter F. King and wife, Jane M. of Fort Valley; sisters, Lynn Edwards and husband, Dannie of Colonial Heights, and Terry Koch of Annandale; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Colonial Heights Animal Shelter, 201 Temple Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
