Beatrice Butler

Beatrice (Beachie) Butler, 64, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Frances Hancock Chance, and was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Mayes. She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Butler; a son, Donald E. Butler II of Petersburg; a daughter, Tara E. Forrest and husband, Ben of Sutherland; three grandchildren, Benjamin I. Forrest III, Erin N. Forrest, and Madison E. Forrest; sisters and brothers, Julia Rieves, William E.R. Chance, Delilah Vaughan, and Wayne Chance. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 in the Southlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Prince George with the Reverend Ben Forrest officiating. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
