Benjamin Irvin Faison, 92, of Ettrick, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Retreat Hospital in Richmond. Born in Petersburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late James Irvin and Maggie Belcher Faison; and was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Faison. Mr. Faison was a United States Navy Veteran having served during World War II and the D-Day Invasion. He was retired civil service, a founding member of the Warwick / County Hunt Club in Prince George and a member of the Matoaca United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary "Billie" M. Faison; one son, John David Faison of Surry County; four grandchildren, Justin Faison and Jessica Yandle, Robert Connor and Emily Faison; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Winnie Faison; and Pamela B. Faison. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Gordon, officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night at the funeral home.
