Bernett Stell

Bernett Rosa Stell, 84, of Chesterfield, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Medical College of Virginia. She was born November 27, 1928 to the late Lonnie Lee and Rosa Ethel Hoggard Castello. Mrs. Stell was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clinton A. Stell Sr., a sister, Margie C. Davis and a brother in-law, Robert "Shakey" Davis. She retired from C&P Telephone Company with 25 years of service. She is survived by a son, Clinton Avery Stell Jr. and wife, Brenda; a daughter, Rosa S. Cole and husband, Harper; four grandchildren, Amy Cole Siefferman, Harper Brandon Cole, Angela S. Stoher and Clinton Avery Stell III; four great-grandchildren, Cody Glen Stoher, Ryan Avery Stoher, Parker Upton Cole, and Harper Avery Siefferman. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Reverend Richard S. Gordon officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
